Just got a notice that
"Starting September 9th, the city will begin to repave Piedmont Rd. for additional function and beautification. The city anticipates the road work will be completed by December 30th."

Maybe they will also take out that silly stop sign at Old Calaveras. Not holding my breath though.

BTW Ken Goldman kindly pointed out that that intersection is on Evans Rd, not Piedmont. Evans changes to Piedmont at Calaveras Blvd, south of Old Calaveras (as I'm sure many of you know). So yeah, even less likely they'll get rid of that Stop sign :P
