To our East Bay bike clubs:
FYI, on Stage Rd, (over by Pescadero); also, see a really useful list at the bottom of greater Bay Area County web sites on road closures.

Mr. Langbein,
Yes, Stage Road is one of the 15 sites that we have identified that needs permanent repair and is one of our top priority sites. For the Stage Road site, we have completed our preliminary site reconnaissance and utility clearance. We have retained the services of a geotechnical engineering firm (HDR) to assist the Department with developing repair recommendations. We are currently working to schedule the soil borings to be collected and sent to the laboratory for testing. Design reports for this site should be completed by the end of April, at which point we will determine an appropriate permanent repair. We do not believe that an interim repair will be feasible for this site.
In terms of a website for the storm damage, we are planning on creating one shortly. I hope to have it up by next week. The website will include the locations, work completed to date, upcoming work, and a schedule for the repair for each of the 15 sites.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks, Krzysztof Lisaj, P.E., Principal Civil Engineer

Mr Lisaj:
I saw your response to Mr Cutcomb's email. I would assume that the slip-out on Stage Rd will go through
the same process as wOLH. (I see that the Higgins slip-out is being addressed on https://www.smcgov.org/publicworks/2023-slip-out-repair-near-1780-higgins-canyon-road)
During early January, it was impossible to get accurate reports of road closures for the County. Yet, for neighboring Counties, road closures are posted by the County's DPW. Could San Mateo do
the same?
Below, I list the websites for road closures from our neighbors:
Santa Clara County:
Santa Cruz County: https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/09f637a4d84946edbb5aab283766c9de/
Alameda County: https://roadclosures.acgov.org/
Contra Costa County: https://www.contracosta.ca.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=4282
Sonoma County: https://roadclosures-sonomacounty.hub.arcgis.com/
Thank you, John Langbein
