A "T-/T" paced ride on Monday

Milinda

"T-" is a pace of 9-12 avg. mph
"T" is a pace of 10-13 avg. mph

Hi Riders,

We had a great ride on Saturday for our first official CCRS (the first 2 planned rides were rained out).  There were 29 riders and all returned to the start safely!  We even enjoyed rays of sunshine to help forget the cold weather. Thanks Colin, Christina and Diana for being such great ride hosts!

We heard you! Some of you talked about the need for more time in the saddle, and more hill climbing at a gentle pace. We will run a series of rides on Monday's to support a T-/T pace (10-12 mph average), and some gentle climbing (no climb greater than 10% grade). We will track our improvements in mileage, speed and climbing abilities over the weeks ahead.

Our first ride will begin this Monday the 23rd, and the remaining rides will be posted on the club calendar.

When: Monday 1/23/23, 9:30am – 2 pm
WhereNiles Boulevard & H Street, Niles Blvd & H St, Fremont, CA 94536, USA (map)
Description: 36.6 mi with 521 ft. of elevation gain at a T-/T pace

McCarthy Ranch Starbucks from Niles

Meet at 9:30 for a 9:45 roll.

We will start at Niles Blvd. and H St.  We will ride familiar streets in Fremont to practice gentle climbing, and then get on the Coyote Creek Trail to the coffee/snack break at Starbucks in McCarthy Ranch. The ride back will be pretty flat and we will concentrate on our MPH. This is a no drop ride, and will have frequent regroups.

Download the route to your GPS or print the cuesheet (attached).
Please RSVP to me only (Reply, not Reply All), so I will know you are coming! If you can't make this Monday, but are interested in joining a Monday ride in the future, do let me know so we can gauge interest.

Please download and print your own cue sheet.  Click on the RidewithGPS link, click the "More" menu at the top-left, select "Print Map & Cue PDF" and click "Print Official".

Rain or significant chance of rain cancels. A ride cancellation email will be sent to https://ffbc.groups.io/g/info/topics the morning of the ride if it is being cancelled (no email means the ride is on). If you are unsure of the ride status, call or text a ride leader on the morning of the ride.

Hope to see you there!

I hit reply to All.......Fridays?

Hello to everyone,

This is exactly what I need I just can't do it on Mondays. Is there anyone who would like to do this exact same ride but on Fridays? I can be the ride leader and I can use the exact same route that is used for Monday. The next month i have some friends coming to visit so will need a co-leader for sure to lead those Fridays.

Let me know, thanks!
