Just a heads-up:
Last year, I didn't know the exact location of the Starbucks, automatically.
I failed to put the address in, and Google directed me to the Starbucks at Safeway, across Mission Blvd.! I tested the same inexact process, and it picked Safeway, again.
Assuming my heads on straight tomorrow, I will see all at the Warm Springs Starbucks on the NE corner!

Reminder if you missed CCRS Rides #1 or #2 (I think they were rained out?), we'll have a short safety tailgate meeting before rolling at 9:15AM. Please review the safety and etiquette guidelines and dress accordingly, start temperature will be in the 30's and maybe break 50 degF when we finish.
Hope to see some new and familiar riders!

Club Conditioning Ride Series
The Club Conditioning Ride Series (CCRS) starts January 7 and ends April 8, one week before the Cinderella Classic. This is the perfect series for T and M pace riders who want to improve their cycling and group-riding skills, build endurance, and enjoy some great scenery. The CCRS ramps from an easy, flat intro ride to longer rides with more climbing, helping riders prepare for a full metric century (100K, or 62 miles) with climbing of up to 2500’.
The CCRS, as a no-drop ride, will have a ride leader ‘sweep’ to ensure all riders complete the route safely. The CCRS ride leaders may not be capable of helping with mechanical issues, but the rides typically have experienced riders who can provide guidance.
General Guidelines for All Club Ride Series
- Follow safety and etiquette best practices, especially when riding in groups. Please ensure your tires and brakes are in good shape, keep your helmet strap snug, and, when riding, leave a safety buffer, call and point out hazards, communicate when turning or stopping, etc.
- Carry plenty of water and snacks, 2 spare tubes (for longer rides). Consider carrying a calcium tablet (for quick relief of cramps), a Benadryl tablet (for bee stings), Ibuprofen, bandages for minor cuts, etc.
- Be responsible for your own rides. Ride leaders will be helpful, but they cannot always watch over all riders. A rider should text a ride leader should they fall significantly behind, go off course, need to change a flat, have a mechanical issue or decide to leave the ride. Generally, ride leaders will respond to messages at regroups, and, unless they instruct otherwise, they will wait for riders at major regroups such as restroom and food stops.
- Call 911 if there’s an emergency, provide medical assistance, and ensure safety before calling the ride leader.
- Check the calendar in the days leading up to the ride to see if the ride leaders have changed a ride’s date, start time or route, or if they have cancelled the ride altogether. If changes or cancellations occur within two calendar days of the ride, they will post a notice on the FFBC’s groups.io message board.
- Do not keep valuables in cars. To discourage someone from breaking into your car, make sure all bags and belongings are stowed away and not visible. This hasn’t been a common problem, but it is good to be diligent.
