Niles Canyon

Yesterday we were driving to Stoneridge via Niles Canyon and got through approximately 20 minutes before that big mudslide blocking the road. It looked crazy bad on TV, lucky us! Also, we saw a sign just before the train overpass that said something about bicycles being detected. Is there some kind of electronic bicycle detector? We hadn't been on the road in a while and were surprised to see it. |

Tim the Bicycle Detected sign has been up for sometime now but whenever I rode through did not see it activated. I am guessing they need to turn it on or configure it.

Glad to here you escaped the mud slides. Thanks, Karan On Dec 31, 2022, at 08:56, Tim OHara <timorides2@...> wrote:

I’ve driven through there a few times and have seen that sign. I assume it will be activated when that whole project is completed, because I have never seen the lights on, nor any method to trigger the lights.

Kind of misleading right now though. On Sat, Dec 31, 2022 at 9:10 AM <mwilliams297@...> wrote:

As for the bicycle detection it appears there is a button (like a cross walk ) that you can press to light up the sign. I have not seen it working yet. I drive the canyon several times a week and have been watching with interest. Jay On Sat, Dec 31, 2022 at 8:56 AM Tim OHara <timorides2@...> wrote:
