Come enjoy cooler temps as we circumnavigate the south end of the bay. We will try to ride together with several regroups. If you wish to have your own route sheet, please print one from below. Meet at 8:30AM for an 8:45AM start from the Don Edwards Visitor Center (Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge, 1 Marshlands Rd, cross-street Thornton Ave, Fremont) and ride a short, tight loop around the South Bay. Explore a new wooden bike bridge off University Ave., then a 1/4 mile of packed dirt (fine for skinny tires) to join onto the familiar paved trail to our first restroom stop at the softball fields near Geng Rd. Then it's back onto familiar trail, past Shoreline and another newer trail behind The Golf Club at Moffett Field, into Baylands Park, then lunch at Panera where other options are also available ($). More streets and trails and streets as we loop back through Fremont and Newark. Please print your route sheet.
