I am sorry to hear that and offer my condolences to Jon’s friends in our group.

I had the opportunity to ride with him in a club ride in the South Bay to Gilroy some years back.  He was off the back and I rode along with him.   He was really smart and had a lot of ideas.  I remember a long discussion about shoes and foot protection.   I regret not having had other opportunities to learn more from and about him.
