I wish Mission Pizza had more outdoor seating ☹

Sent: Saturday, June 4, 2022 7:01 AM To: Ffbc Groups Info <info@ffbc.groups.io> Subject: [public info] Change in time for Pizza Rides
Mission Pizza closes at 8 (lack of workers), so we will move the roll times up to 5:30 PM and Pizza time up to 7:00.
This week's ride will be retro night, so get out your oldest jersey and maybe that old bike. The routes are flat (300 ft of elevation), with various lengths (9 to 25 miles). The most exposed roads will be with the wind. Plus three slices of pizza and unlimited sodas. What could be better.
If you are not riding, but just showing up for Pizza, let be know ahead of time.

Note that the following two Fridays will also start at 5:30, and the last week in June, Mission Pizza will be closed. Maybe a Das Brew ride?

Pizza Rides in June
Andrew Sass
Pizza Rides are back. June rides will start at Mission Pizza 1572 Washington Blvd This week's ride is an almost all right turn ride, with lots u-turns at the end of cul-de-sac It is also called a wheel and spoke route. The leisurely route is a loop through the hills near Mission Pizza. You can do as many, or as few, "Not a Thru Street" spokes off the basic loop as you are comfortable with. If you are ahead of the group, take a few more spokes, or if you are behind, skip one. Here is the combined route sheet Note, three slices of pizza and unlimited sodas are still only $5 (heavily subsidized by FFBC). Members are welcome, even if you don't ride. If you are going to show up for Pizza, let me know, so we can order enough. Please sign in by 5:55 so we can order the right amount of Pizza. Roll at 6, sharp Andy Sass 520-490-8098

Monday Morning Donut Ride
Robert Tashjian
Tomorrow (that being Monday), I will lead a special edition of the Monday Morning Recovery Ride. We will ride around the south bay to Rogers Donuts & Deli in Mountain View for coffee (and a donut or other goodie). We’ll make our way home via the Dumbo, stopping near Shoreline to go to the Egret Rookery, which is currently closed to cars but open to bikes & walkers.
The loop is 48 miles, meet at 8:30 am for an 8:45 roll at the driveway across from Isherwood Staging Area, with the usual MMRR pickups at Bayliss/Paseo (across from Lake Liz bathrooms) and South Grimmer/Paseo. There will be several regroups along the way that will be announced as we go. This is an M paced ride. The route is below:

Re: MMRR 5/16
mbrasseur00
There will be one slight modification to the route for tomorrow and going forward. After coffee at Panera on 1st street and we are riding up Fremont Blvd, we will not make the right onto Lakeview but will stay on Fremont Blvd and ride to our regroup at the Marriott on Fremont Blvd right before Cushing. A new ridewithgps route will be in the ride calendar announcements but may not make it in time for tomorrow's ride.

One registration available for this Sunday's Strawberry Fields Forever ride in Watsonville: $45
Wendy Wilson
Hello! I have 1 registration left for the Strawberry Fields ride on Sunday, available at $45 (selling at $75 today). The ride route is great and the weather forecast is 73 degrees, mostly sunny with light winds. The rest stops are legendary: there's a rest stop at the Calfee bike factory where you can see bamboo bikes while you're sipping your cappuccino or otherwise fancy coffee drink. There's another rest stop at Gizdich Ranch for their homemade pie, then chocolate covered strawberries with whipped cream at rides end. A food lovers ride! Transferring the name on the registration is easy and you're covered by their umbrella insurance. You can text me at the # below for any questions! Hubby Don Fujino and I will be at the ride, this registration was for my niece who was supposed to join us for the ride in 2020. Sadly her bike got stolen in the meantime!
