Tour de Fuzz
Lori Sommer
Hi Fun Fuzzies, I haven’t forgotten about our ride. Although we drove up more than week ago we still aren’t in our new home due to construction delays. I don’t have access to my computer or a secure internet. I finally had a moment to copy and update the spreadsheet with my phone. Please fill it out with your plans for our fuzz ride. Forgive any mistakes. We still need a volunteer for pizza!! Phil and I left our second car and our bikes up in Petaluma. We fly in Thursday night. I’m looking forward to spending some time with my riding friends. Lori

Some parts needed as a donation
Tuesday-Thank you everybody. The only things needed are item 3, two 36 spoke aluminum box rims in 700c, silver finish.
For those who contacted me, thank you. I may need to take you up on your offer at a later date. -Wynn ------- On Sunday the Club's Fix Your Bike Day took in a Specialized Crossroads hybrid bike as a donation. Attached is a picture after cleaning. This bike will be sold or given away to a needy individual. Parts are needed to make the bike complete. Here is a list of what is needed. I already put my spare parts on it. 1. A saddle. Not a high end saddle. Just a good saddle for riding around in and looks good. From Ken Goldman) 2. Pair or 700c x 32 to 700c x 35 tires. Some used take off tires that can be sold with this bike. A pair would be ideal. (from Steve Muramoto) 3. Pair of wheels. Rear wheel done for without a miracle. Front wheel questionable. Needed are 7-speed, or Shimano brand where I can transfer the freehub. Aluminum, quick release. If it can be serviced I'll take it. FFBC's Fix Your Bike Day program thanks you. Wynn Kageyama

6 pm TGIF rides
About 5 members joined the 6 pm TGIF ride last Friday. It was a lot of fun to end the pleasant ride at Das Brew. Das Brew was a very rewarding discovery for me - I have lived in Fremont for a long time and not far from Das Brew but did not know about it. Looking forward to more FFBC members joining as this TGIF 6 pm ride ends in August.

Mid-Week Morning Ride
Robin O'Hara
NEWS FLASH! I will be leading tomorrow's Mid-Week Morning Ride in place of Al Quintana. The ride will start in Niles and go to Alum Rock. Since this ride is a little longer than sometimes, we will meet at the usual 8:30am start time and leave promptly at 8:45am. If you plan to join us along the way, please keep this timing in mind. We will stop for coffee at Peet's Coffee off E. Calaveras. Options include nearby Starbucks or Erik's Deli. And like Al, there will be no route sheets. Oh, and no geocache! I hope to see some of you tomorrow. Robin O'Hara

MMRR Rained Out
Robert Tashjian
All,
The MMRR is cancelled, rained (well, showered) out. It showered a bit this morning and there is another band of showers due to hit Fremont around 9 and 10 am and there may be some thundershowers. According to club rules, the ride now becomes a show and go. If you do decide to ride, be careful (and maybe plan a long coffee break).

Monday Morning Recovery Ride
Robert Tashjian
Recovering Riders!,
You know who you are. There is a small chance of rain and thundershowers late tonight into tomorrow. Right now, the ride is a go, but I’ll post a final update by 7am Monday (that’s tomorrow).
We’ll meet across from the Isherwood Staging Area Monday, Aug 1 at 8:30 for an 8:45 roll. The route is the classic route to Panera Pacific Commons. Usual regroup/pickups at Paseo/Bayliss and Paseo/S. Grimmer. Route below:

Monday Morning Recovery Ride
Robin O'Hara
I will be leading the MMRR on Monday, July 25. The route will be to Starbucks in Milpitas. We meet to sign in at 8:30am across from the Isherwood Staging Area and roll at 8:45am. There will be a regroup across from Lake Elizabeth and at Paseo Padre & Grimmer. Please check the ride listing in the Ride Calendar for the ridewithgps route and cue sheet. However, we still may not be able to ride on the Coyote Creek trail so we will stay on McCarthy Ranch Road. Hope to see you Monday. Robin
