This week's ride features Alpine, with a few new adventures (thanks to our Western Wheelers friends).  On the to the top of Alpine, we will ride by Frog Pond Park.  At the top, Joaquin is an option but not mandatory.  On the way down, we will take a side route to Little People's Park before coffee and snacks at Roberts Market.

The route has several shortcuts if you want to skip some of the climbing or if it gets too hot.

The cue sheet is attached.  Here's the link:  https://ridewithgps.com/routes/30773976.

Sorry for the typo.

Where I said "M Pace (if you are to up to this pace, please go for the T pace rides)” , I meant "M Pace (if you are to not up to this pace, please go for the T pace rides)”.

Bike Fixit Event needs one additional mechanci

Wynn

Hi Everybody, our fixit bike event at Irvington Farmers Market is tomorrow morning.  Right now 31 of 44 repair slots are signed for and we expect an additional 15 walk up repairs.  I think we can use the assistance of one additional junior mechanic skill level or better.  Even better if you have a work stand.  Signup here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/409084faeaa28a57-fixit3

Thanx!  Wynn

Short Notice Ride: Ride to Pedalfest

David Walker

Pedalfest is in Oakland is this Saturday. Join Julia and me for a nice, easy ride to the festivities. We'll start from the Starbucks next to the CVS in Warm Springs (46655 Mission Blvd, Fremont). Meet at 8:30 for an 8:45 start. The ride will be 36 miles with minimal climbing and the pace will be T, M. The route is here and a route sheet is attached:

If you want to meet us along the way, feel free. They have free bike valet parking but you may still want to bring a lock. Bring some cash for lunch (and beer). NOTE: If you want to buy beer, you will need identification regardless of your age (don't ask me how I know this)! After the visit, it is very easy to find your way to BART for a ride home.

If I have forgotten to mention something, or you have any questions, let me know.

Re: Thursday ride

Robert Miller

Hi Vinh,

You meet at 6:15 with the ride starting at 6:30.

One other point and others can correct me if I’m not quite accurate, but you should be aware that this ride is intended to be a training session not a scenic “around town” type of ride. I think they do laps around the industrial park. It’s part of a training series organized by the race team. All riders are welcome.

MMRR New Route

Robert Tashjian

Mike has come up with another route and coffee stop for us to try tomorrow. It’s basically the old MMRR route with a change to the ‘bottom’. We will turn left and on Fernald off E Warren just before Warm Springs. We’ll zigzag through the neighborhood (see route sheet for details) to Mayten, turn left on Warm Springs, right on Kato back to Warren, then over to Tous Les Jours in the Mission Square shopping center at the corner of Warm Springs and Mission for coffee & goodies.

Regroups at the new turns to make sure no one gets lost
