Hi LAP Riders,
Ron Mitchell creates this route sheet and will lead a group back to the start after coffee. He will bring 10 copies to the start but please print you own to be safe.
Begin forwarded message:
I prepared a route sheet from Bodies to Bronco Billies/Niles.
I will bring about 10 copies which should be enough.
However here is a copy; More turns than usual to avoid the construction on Mission.

The third time is a charm! And it is St. Patrick's Day!
Palomares, Eden, Palomares....or not. Make the ride your own. After the coffee stop at Bodies in Castro Valley, Ron Mitchell has volunteered to escort riders that aren't up to the backside of Palomares through Hayward and back to the start.
Check out the ride posting below for the details including the parking.
See you Sunday.

Have we got scenery for you on today’s ride! Starting in Niles, we’ll ride to Palomares Road for a scenic & sustained climb. After we catch our breath, we’ll lose it again as we tear back down the hill. We will next explore Eden Canyon and follow it all the way to the end. There is an option to skip Eden which reduces the route by 6 miles and 566' of elevation gain. Then back down the canyon and up into Castro Vally for a quick break with some fuel which we will need to climb the "fun" side of Palomares. We can think of pizza toppings and beer to distract us from the last mile of climbing. Once we are back in Niles, join us for beer and a slice of pizza at Bronco Billy's for an unofficial regroup.
PDF versions of our Excel route sheets will be sent out via email to FFBC’s https://ffbc.groups.io/g/info/topics a few days before each ride. We ask that you print and bring it to the ride. The link to the route on ridewithgps.com is available for downloading but any route sheet generated from the link is for information only and does not have listed regroups.
We will maintain a Touring through Moderate pace (10 to 16 mph). No drops and regroups as needed. Extreme weather or construction may modify the route and rain cancels. A ride cancellation email will be sent to https://ffbc.groups.io/g/info/topics by the ride leader on the morning of the ride if it is being cancelled (no email means the ride is on). If you are unsure of the ride status, call or text ride leader on the morning of the ride.
**SPECIAL PARKING INSTRUCTIONS
In order to be good neighbors with the Niles Merchant Assoc. and not interfere with their customer parking, FFBC has agreed to park in different areas depending on the time of the week.
