The notification for the meeting was sent August 1, 2018 for the August 2 event - see below for original notice text:
Many citizens were quite unhappy with the extremely short notice, leading Caltrans to extend the deadline to comment on the proposed project to October 2, 2018. Please consider learning about the proposed project and commenting on the planned options. Below is the link to Caltrans’ Niles Canyon webpage - Arroyo de la Laguna is number 4 on the list at the top of the page - if you click that link, you’ll see info on the project. A PDF of the presentation from the Sunol meeting is attached. Two of the options to be considered involve widening the bridge. It's good to be aware of all proposed Caltrans project activity in the canyon. The cumulative effects of all of these projects will surely affect traffic density and flow as well as quality of life for all who love this scenic, historic resource.
