Hi Riders,
We had a great ride on Saturday for our first official CCRS (the first 2 planned rides were rained out). There were 29 riders and all returned to the start safely! We even enjoyed rays of sunshine to help forget the cold weather. Thanks Colin, Christina and Diana for being such great ride hosts!
We heard you! Some of you talked about the need for more time in the saddle, and more hill climbing at a gentle pace. We will run a series of rides on Monday's to support a T-/T pace (10-12 mph average), and some gentle climbing (no climb greater than 10% grade). We will track our improvements in mileage, speed and climbing abilities over the weeks ahead.
Our first ride will begin this Monday the 23rd, and the remaining rides will be posted on the club calendar.
When: Monday 1/23/23, 9:30am – 2 pm
Where:
Niles Boulevard & H Street, Niles Blvd & H St, Fremont, CA 94536, USA (map) Description: 36.6 mi with 521 ft. of elevation gain at a T-/T pace
McCarthy Ranch Starbucks from Niles
Meet at 9:30 for a 9:45 roll.
We will start at Niles Blvd. and H St. We will ride familiar streets in Fremont to practice gentle climbing, and then get on the Coyote Creek Trail to the coffee/snack break at Starbucks in McCarthy Ranch. The ride back will be pretty flat and we will concentrate on our MPH. This is a no drop ride, and will have frequent regroups.
